Last month we reported that  Buffalo Wild Wings had partnered with Deuce Drone to provide drone delivery of  Buffalo Wild Wings in Mobile, now Rouses Market, which has 64 shops along the Gulf Coastline, has announced that it has also partnered with Deuce Drone to begin testing an unmanned grocery delivery in Mobile, AL this fall.

According to the press release, the drones will be able to provide grocery stores in under thirty minutes.

Rouses Markets already offers personal shopping and delivery services that allow customers to shop online and get deliveries in as little as an hour, but Donny Rouse, CEO, is committed to exploring more convenient and innovative ways. “Drone delivery offers the fastest, safest delivery store to door. We should be able to get groceries to customers in 30 minutes or even less. Plus it’s more cost efficient, meaning we can save customers time and money.”​

Deuce Drone, based in Boston, said the goal is to allow retailers to compete with Amazon.com in terms of offering same-day deliveries. Rhett Ross, chief executive officer of Deuce Drone, said Rouses is an ideal test case because the company’s footprint. “We’re excited to partner with Rouses Markets and work together to alter the landscape of home delivery,” Ross said in a statement.
